Timelapse of Cascada de Nubes on La Palma

On our hike to Pico Birigoyo I had the chance to record this time-lapse video of a spectacular phenomenon – the “falling clouds”. This “Cascada de Nubes” is quite typical for La Palma. When the weather conditions are right the build-up clouds from the east side of the ridge are pressed across the so called “Cumbre Nueva”. The clouds flows over the edge and fall like a waterfall until they mysteriously disappear.

The time-lapse has been recorded with a Fujifilm X-T1 camera. The post-processing has been done with blender.

Clear skies!

A sea of clouds – short time-lapse from Pico Nambroque on La Palma

On a hike to Pico Nambroque on La Palma I had the chance to record a short time-lapse which shows the movement of the clouds over the island. I used a Fujifilm X-T1.

As usual, the exposure time, ISO value and focus were set to manual, the white balance was set to 7100K and the frames were recorded in the RAW format. The frames were then post-processed using https://rawtherapee.com/. I did the de-flickering using the following script: https://github.com/cyberang3l/timelapse-deflicker

Clear skies!

Day and Night on La Palma – The highlights from my last La Palma holiday

On my last La Palma holiday I did lots of experiments with my X-T1 camera. This time I was especially looking into time-lapsing. The result is “Day and Night on La Palma” – a 5 minute video about this beautiful island. To me, La Palma is the perfect place for doing this kind of videos. In this short video I want to show the highlights of my last holiday. Lots of stars, clouds and sunsets… 🙂 In order to make this video I visited many different places of the island. Some of them were Roque de Los Muchachos, Mirador del Jable, Mirador del Time and Pico Birigoyo. The music title “Worlds” has been composed by Jacob Tyler. I found it on www.soundcloud.com. I hope you enjoy the video 🙂
