For this image I setup the telescope and went to bed… Unfortunately, due to a major temperature drop at night the camera went out of focus. So I think I will visit this object quite soon, again. The image is also available in full resolution.

Beauty of space – My best astro-images in 2013

In this short video I summarized all the best astro images I made over the last year. Most of the images have been taken from Boeblingen using a 8″ Newtonian telescope and an Atik383L+ camera. All the images are also available in full resolution on my website. The video has been composed using openshot, an open source video editor for Linux (many thanks to the development team).

Sport- & Astro-Holidays on La Palma 2013

May 2013 we visited La Palma again to do cycling, hiking and astrophotography. This short video shows some of our best moments. The time-lapse videos were recorded using a Canon G15 with a CHDK “patch”.
